The site is a coming-soon page, so this is a short, honest write-up built from what's actually live plus James's note that the website is limited.

Found is an event-based dating app for queer women and trans and non-binary people. Instead of endless swiping, it's built around real events in real places — you meet people at something happening in your city, not in a chat thread that goes nowhere. The site is still a coming-soon page, so most of what's below is the plan and the pieces already standing, not a finished product I can point you at yet.

What it is

The pitch is simple: meet people worth meeting. Found is an event-based dating app for queer women and trans/non-binary folks only, focused on real connections in real life. It's an 18+ space, coming to iOS and Android. The whole thing points at one outcome — getting people into the same room instead of keeping them on their phones.

Why it exists

Most dating apps are built for volume. You swipe, you match, you rarely meet. For queer women and trans and non-binary people that math is worse — smaller dating pools, more noise, and general-purpose apps that don't feel built for them or safe by default. I wanted the opposite of the endless-feed model: fewer, better connections that actually happen offline, inside spaces that are queer by design rather than as an afterthought.

How it works

Found is organized around events, not profiles. The consumer app handles matching and the 18+, queer-only membership; the events are where connections actually form. To make that work there are two sides to the product.

The first is the member side — the app itself, still pre-launch. The second is the organizer side, which is already built. There's a dedicated organizer portal where venues and event hosts sign in to run events on the platform, and organizers apply to join by telling us about themselves, their venue or org, their city, and the events they run. That's deliberate: the quality of Found depends on the quality of the events and the people hosting them, so hosts are vetted rather than open-signup.

Where it stands

Found is pre-launch. The landing page, the notify-me list, and the organizer portal and application flow are live under Found Social Club; the member apps for iOS and Android are still on the way. I'm not going to put numbers on it that don't exist yet — when there's a launch date and real events on the calendar, this page will say so.
